HELP THY NEIGHBOR . . .

What do you do about those unsightly weeds growing in the abandoned or foreclosed home on your street?   Well if you live in one Murrieta community, you band together with your neighbors and trim the lawn and cut the weeds.  Not only does it keep the neighborhood looking nicer, but prospective homebuyers will view it more favorably.   That should help sell the home sooner, and establish a neighborly bond with the new homeowners.

How does that affect you and me in Meadowview?  Well look around your street.  If your neighbor is in or approaching foreclosure and the yard has been neglected, call the City and let them know the condition of the property and then, help out.  Get your weed whacker and lawn mower over there and help maintain the aesthetics of your neighborhood.  You will not only feel good about your efforts, you will improve the appearance of your neighborhood.   It is working in Murrieta, why  not here in Meadowview.

Seeing Green
Ideas to help conserve & SAVE MONEY!

  • Place a dry bath towel in your dryer with wet laundry. It cuts drying time IN HALF!

  • Keep Freezers Full of items or at least full of ice as empty freezers need more energy to run

  • Consider unplugging that extra refrigerator or freezer in the garage. It costs about $40.00 per month to run a refrigerator and even more if it is located in your un-insulated garage!

  • Change bulbs to florescent bulbs (they even have ones for dimmers now!) A 60 watt bulb can be replaced by an energy-reducing 13 watt florescent bulb that lasts 5 years! The selection of bulbs has grown and the prices have dropped!
